About Us
Monty - The Mascot
I'm a cider coloured Vizsla who had a penchant for apple when I was a wee boy. I help retrieving lost apples when they roll of the press (we do not put those apples in, please refrain from telling him).
Sandy - Cidermaker
In 2010 I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME after a very bad virus at university. A common side effect of CFS is gluten intolerance. So amongst many other changes I replaced beer with cider. Over time and tasting a keen interest developed.
In an attempt to take control of my health, cidermaking seemed to tick the boxes of not just a pursuit I was interested in but also something I can do in my own time and most importantly at my own pace. There really is nothing better than knowing all the hard graft you put in at harvest time hasn't been wasted and a quaffable glass is served one or two years later.
Worcestershire was once one of biggest apple and pear producers in the UK. Through careful planning and research we look forward to celebrating this tradition through our cider and perry, giving you an authentic taste of Worcestershire's palate.
The ME Association
Provides support, research, advice and a helpline for the community of people affected by ME/CFS.
We will be donating 10% of profits to The ME Association. As mentioned above it is something very close to my heart and I had always envisaged giving a portion of profits to the charity no matter what I ultimately pursued. Over time I hope we can increase the amount we give as a percentage of our profits.
